Maruhan Japan Bank donates clothing to Lao Football Association

Maruhan Japan Bank Lao on Tuesday handed over 2,500 items of clothing worth more 83 million kip to the Lao Football Federation, to be used for special events organised by the Federation next month.
The Federation is planning a whole day of activities, when 2,000 junior players from across the country will gather for a mass football training session. The clothing was presented by the Chief Executive Officer of Maruhan Japan Bank Lao, Mr Bounmy Sengphachan, to the Secretary General of the Lao Football Federation, Ms Kanya Keomany, in the presence of senior officials from the bank and the federation.
Ms Kanya said the special day will celebrate young footballers across country and give them a chance to learn more about the rules of football and engage in friendly competition.
The Federation organises this event every year, with the aim of popularising football among the younger generation and teaching youngsters about new skills and tactics.
Players’ parents will also be invited to lend support and cheer from the sidelines.
The event will be co-oganised by the Lao Football Federation and football federations from 17 provinces and Vientiane.
Maruhan Japan Bank is fully supporting the activities and plans to do so again in the future. This year marks the bank’s 10th anniversary.
