Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Saleumxay Kommasith (centre) on July 27 holds a telephone conversation with Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms Penny Wong, who was recently appointed to the post. The phone call was arranged as part of events to celebrate 2022 being the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Laos and Australia.

Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Mrs Suanesavanh Vignaket, on Friday welcomes the Vice President of the state-run radio station Voice of Vietnam, Mr Vu Hai Qiang, and his officials on a working visit to Laos to evaluate the work of Lao National Radio and Vietnam’s assistance with radio broadcasting in Laos. The two state-run broadcasters jointly bolster the cooperative relations and special solidarity between the parties, governments and peoples of Laos and Vietnam, with a view to continued mutual support in the future.        --Photo Pasaxon

Representatives of the Lao Red Cross (right) deliver life jackets, clothing, shoes, rainwear, ropes and other supplies worth 22 million kip to the Xayaboury Red Cross during a training course for young people in the province held from July 25-29.
